Handle with Care is a cardboard net, its weight held by a cast of my hand. Cardboard carries the language of movement: of distances crossed, and of balikbayan boxes sent and received. Reimagined as a handwoven net, the porous material becomes a lattice of intention and care, evoking the networks that delicately tether families across oceans.
The title plays on the familiar phrase printed on cardboard boxes, reminding us of the fragility of the things carried: not only physical objects, but also dreams, memories, and personal connections.
